Ethics and Standards Page

La Voz de Atlanta is committed to truth, human rights, and responsible communication. Our platform was created to inform, advocate, and defend Venezuelans who cannot safely speak under authoritarian conditions. That responsibility requires discipline, rigor, and ethical clarity in everything we publish.

These are the standards that guide our work:

  1. Truth as a non-negotiable
We report and comment based on verified facts, documented patterns, and credible sources. We do not amplify rumors, manipulated narratives, or unconfirmed claims.
Truth is a duty — not a strategy.

  2. Protection of vulnerable voices
We prioritize the safety and dignity of Venezuelans who are at risk of retaliation. We do not reveal identities, locations, or sensitive information that could endanger individuals being persecuted or monitored.

  3. Independence and impartiality
We are not affiliated with political parties, foreign governments, or corporate interests. Our analysis is centrist, reform-oriented, and guided by principles — not ideology.

  4. Advocacy without dehumanization
We expose abuses and hold power to account without inciting hatred, targeting civilians, or promoting violence. Our call is for justice, sovereignty, and democratic restoration.

  5. Evidence-driven communication
We structure our threads, commentary, and reports with legal clarity:
    • Opening statements
    • Facts presented
    • Sourced evidence
    • Analysis
    • Proposed remedies
    • Closing statements

This ensures our arguments are accountable, transparent, and grounded.

  1. Respect for the diaspora’s lived experience
We honor the perspectives of Venezuelans abroad and treat their stories with seriousness and empathy. Migration is not a statistic — it is a human journey shaped by trauma, loss, and resilience.

  2. Responsible platform use
We recognize the power of digital platforms and use them to uplift truth, not to mislead, exaggerate, or exploit fear. Our voice is firm but measured, strong but responsible.

  3. Zero tolerance for authoritarian narratives
We do not repeat propaganda from regimes that silence, imprison, or harm civilians. We expose disinformation rather than normalize it.

  4. Transparency with corrections
If new evidence emerges or clarifications are required, we correct information promptly and openly. Accountability is strength — not weakness.

  5. Commitment to sovereignty and human dignity
Our ultimate goal is the restoration of a free, democratic, and sovereign Venezuela. Every post, video, and thread is guided by that mission.

La Voz de Atlanta is not merely a media platform.
It is an ethical commitment to truth, justice, and the protection of a people who have been denied their voice for far too long.

La Voz de Atlanta.

En defensa de la verdad, la libertad y el pueblo venezolano.
